Assistive Technology(AT) Services:

As technology grows by leaps and bounds, life is becoming easier for people, but most especially, for those with disabilities. Those with physical or mental disabilities can regain their independence with Assistive Technology. Here at Ross Engineering we offer Assistive Technology Services to people facing any of the following challenges:

• Computer Access (due to physical, poor vision, or mental disabilities)
• Learning Disabilities (reading and writing)
• Communication (voice, speech, or language)
• Mobility
• Vision (low vision or blindness)
• Hearing (full or partial hearing loss)

If you or someone you know has any of these disabilities, we can help.
Our Assistive Technology Services starts with evaluations for persons with disabilities. We will work with you to discover how Assistive Technology can help. Our evaluations are handled by Kazuko Ross who has 8 years of experience in Assistive Technology, as well as providing technical support to rehabilitation service administration, assistive technology programs, and outreach advocacy organizations. She also has 12 years of experience in Research and Development and IT in a
world's leading PC manufacturing company. She will use all of the skills and talents she has acquired through this many experiences to walk you through the process from beginning to end and find just the right solution for you.

Once your evaluation is complete, we offer technical assistance of various natures including employment, education, and independent living to individuals with cognitive disabilities, hard of hearing, or poor vision. Our cognitive services can help improve attention, memory, self-regulation, navigation, emotion recognition and management, planning, and sequencing activities. We can help you go to school, get a job and gain your independence back despite the challenges that you face.

We also offer computer and mobile device training to persons with disabilities. Text to speech, voice commands, and alternative keyboard designs are just a few of the features that we can offer to those who find it difficult to use the current computers and mobile devices widely available on the market.

Once you have chosen the Assistive Technology that will most promote your independence, you don't have to worry about any future problems that arrive. Our passion is to find technology solutions that fit each individual, not just to sell products. We will help you set up your new technology and train you in how to use it. You don't have to worry about any problems that arise later either, even if it's years down the road. We promise to stay available for support and troubleshooting long after your business with us is done. Our number one concern is your satisfaction. We offer free advice for first time callers, so contact us today to see what we can do for you.
